Payment in full is due at the time of making a purchase for a course. No booking will be confirmed until payment has been received by GTEC Training Ltd. Payment can be made by cheque or credit/debit card via the SagePay payment services on our site. Cheques are to be made payable to GTEC Training Ltd and cleared before confirmation of your booking can be made.
All payments banked and not honoured will incur a charge of £25.00 to cover our banking costs.
GTEC Training reserve the right to alter the course fees when necessary.
Candidates who do not achieve certification will not receive a refund of the fees which they have paid for the course.
This agreement shall prevail over any marketing material or any electronic, written or oral representation made to you by GTEC Training Ltd
The agreement is not completed until the date shown on your acknowledgement letter, which we will send to you as soon as possible after receiving your completed booking form/telephone booking and payment. Please check carefully the acknowledgement letter. Any errors should be brought to our attention within five days of the date of the letter or else the contents will be presumed to be correct.
By arranging payment for the course, you agree that we may commence performance of the contract by processing your booking. This affects your right to cancel this agreement.
GTEC Training Ltd reserves the right to decline to accept any application for enrolment on any course.
GTEC TRAINING LTD’S OBLIGATION:
GTEC Training Ltd agrees to provide you with the training course indicated on the confirmation agreement. The course includes all necessary tuition, supervision, tools and safety equipment in order for you to complete the course and obtain the relevant course qualification (if applicable), provided you attend the course without interruption.
Following completion of your training, and if applicable to the course you have attended, we will arrange for you to sit an examination/assessment which is accredited by the accrediting body (these are subject to availability and change), the successful completion of which shall lead to the course outcome. Your course fees cover the first examination/assessment sitting only. Some re-sits if necessary will be paid for by you.
Attend courses during normal course hours which are normally from 08:30am to 5:00pm (unless otherwise stated) from Monday to Friday or weekend’s dependent upon your booking. (These days and times may alter as GTEC Training Ltd stipulate).
Not use any disruptive, threatening or violent behaviour against any employee of GTEC Training Ltd or any other student. A breach of this provision may result in your immediate ejection from the course without reimbursement.
RESCHEDULING OF COURSES:
For requests to reschedule a booking received more than 28 calendar days in advance of the course start date, there will be no charge incurred.
For requests to reschedule a booking received between 14 and 28 calendar days prior to the course start date there will be a £25.00 + vat administration fee.
For requests to reschedule a booking received less than 14 calendar days before the course start date there will be a charge of 50% of the value of the original booking. An invoice for the rescheduling fee will be raised.
CANCELLATION CHARGES & REFUNDS:
All cancellations must be notified in writing.
For requests to cancel a booking received more than 28 calendar days prior to the course start date, the candidate will be given a refund of any prepayment.
For requests to cancel a booking received between 22 and 28 calendar days prior to the course start date there will be a charge of 20% of the value of the booking.
For requests to cancel a booking received between 14 and 21 calendar days prior to the course start date there will be a charge of 50% of the value of the booking.
For notification of cancellation received less than 14 calendar days before the course start date, there will be no refund of any prepayment.
In the event of non-attendance, there will be no refund of any prepayment.
GTEC Training Ltd reserves the right to cancel a course at any time but we will endeavour to give candidates as much notice as possible. Candidates will be offered an alternative course date, credit or full refund.
(If another candidate subsequently fills the original course date that you no longer require, the appropriate rescheduling or cancellation fee will be refunded).
Please note that if the required level of competency is not achieved in either the practical or theory assessment, it may be necessary for candidates to re-sit the sections which they have been unsuccessful in. A re-sit must be completed within 90 calendar days of initial assessment and within 30 calendar days of re-assessment. The re-sit fee of £200.00 + vat per day will be incurred if this situation arises. If additional training is required, this will be charged at a rate dependant on the nature and amount of training involved.
CITY & GUILDS COURSES:
There is a £40.00 registration fee for the City & Guilds 2394 & 2395 (post 2391) written assessments. This fee is non-refundable if the candidate cancels or reschedules the course at any date prior to the written assessment. All of the standard Terms and Conditions apply to other fees for the City & Guilds courses.
There is a £150.00 registration fee for the City & Guilds 6020-11 Domestic Energy Assessor course. This fee is non-refundable if the candidate cancels or reschedules the course within 14 calendar days of the date of the course. All of the standard Terms and Conditions apply to other fees for the City & Guilds courses.
The registration fee of £200.00 for the EAL courses is non-refundable if the candidate cancels the booking. Alternatively, for a period of up to 6 months after the date of registration, the fee can either be transferred to another candidate or the course date can be rescheduled. All of the standard Terms and Conditions apply to other fees for the EAL courses.
GTEC TRAINING LTD RESERVES THE RIGHT TO:
Cancel or re-schedule any course or examination and to make other amendments to the published programme without compensation, other than reimbursement of fees in the event of a course cancellation. GTEC Training Ltd shall also vary any course to take account of new regulations or the requirements of the accrediting bodies for which an additional charge may be made if such change occurs after the date of your enrolment.
Where registration and/or certification fees are payable to City & Guilds or other accrediting body, GTEC Training Ltd shall have the right to pass on any increase in such fees notified to the Company after the date of your enrolment.
At any time to change the certifying body, if applicable to your course, provided that if such a change would enable you to achieve a qualification equivalent to or higher than the qualification provided by the original certifying body.
Copyright in the course materials is owned or licensed by GTEC Training Ltd. Copying, adaptation or other use without the written permission of GTEC Training Ltd is prohibited
Whilst GTEC Training Ltd will take all reasonable steps to make courses as inclusive as possible, participation in any course requires that you are able to understand spoken English and write and read in English to GCSE level or equivalent.
Unless otherwise stipulated in your enrolment form, GTEC Training Ltd may use your personal data for administrative purposes and may keep this information for a reasonable period and may contact you by email, mail, SMS or telephone to let you know about any courses or promotions which might be of interest to you.
Completion of the course does not guarantee your competence to perform work or your ability to gain employment in the relevant field and GTEC Training Ltd makes no representation as to such competence or ability. In undertaking any work, you must take care to ensure that the work is within your competence and you must seek further instruction or supervision, if necessary. Any statement made to you by GTEC Training Ltd regarding the likelihood of obtaining employment and/or your potential earnings shall be treated as a matter of opinion and shall be non-binding.
We ask that you notify GTEC Training Ltd immediately of any complaint and every effort will be made to address this in a timely manner, following our documented complaints procedure.
At the end of each course you will be provided with a feedback form and we encourage you to complete this.
GTEC Training Ltd shall not be liable for any failure in the performance of any of its obligations under this agreement caused by factors outside its control.
VALUE ADDED TAX:
All prices/costs quoted for the course are exclusive of Value Added Tax at the prevailing rate.

PHOTOGRAPHIC AND SOUND RECORDING EQUIPMENT:
Please note that the use of photographic and sound recording equipment is strictly prohibited within any part of the premises where the course is delivered. Any candidate found to be using this type of equipment during their training and / or assessment may be asked to leave their course with no refund of any prepayment.
